Engage in Continuous Improvement

  • Run structured retrospectives / lessons learned reviews
  • Feed improvement actions back into the current or future project
  • Support organizational process improvement, not just project-level fixes

Continuous improvement is tested both at the team level (agile retrospectives — what went well, what didn't, what will we change) and the organizational level (feeding lessons learned into organizational process assets so future projects benefit, not just this one).

A key distinction PMI tests: a retrospective without a concrete action item is a complaint session, not an improvement. The exam favors answers where identified issues translate into specific, assigned, trackable changes — not just documented observations.

Study focus: know that continuous improvement applies to predictive projects too, typically through phase-gate reviews or lessons-learned sessions at milestones, even though the vocabulary ("retrospective," "kaizen") is more associated with agile delivery.
